Hi! My name is Sofia Kryshtalowych and I am a 12th grade student at Fox Creek High School. I plan to attend the College of Charleston in the fall. I have been swimming for the Hammond Hills Hammerheads since I was 5 years old. I swam for the Aiken-Augusta Swim League for 3 years throughout middle school and early high school and have been swimming at the high school level since I was in the 8th grade. I consider swimming, as well as athletics, in general, to be one of my greatest passions. This will be my second year coaching. I hope to continue to encourage and teach new swimmers to have confidence in their skills and enjoy the sport of swimming.
** A NOTE FROM THE BOARD: Sofia holds the 2016 Hammerheads Swim Team record in the Girls 8 and Under 50 Freestyle event with a time of 38.61!

I am Maya Kryshtalowych and I’m 16 years old. I’m finishing up my sophomore year at Fox Creek High School. I learned to swim at the Hammond Hills pool and I have been on the swim team since I was five. I have made the All-Star team every year since I was six. I swam for ASL for two years when I was in second and third grade. I know what it’s like to be afraid standing on the blocks as a young swimmer, especially at the Aquatics Center. I am a competitive Varsity XC runner and Varsity/AAU Basketball player now. I’m looking forward to using what I’ve learned as a competitive athlete to encouraging young swimmers to face their fears, train hard and to have fun time!
